May 4, 2009 the Commissioner’s Meeting at 6:30 PM the meeting was called to order. As my friend says…”Like watching paint dry”. In other words, the meeting was relatively uneventful. A presentation was given by Phyllis Amburn on a prescription drug program from CanaRX. She reported the county would save $689 thousand and some odd change with 355 member enrollment. She also stated the city saved 1 million+ dollars with this prescription plan. Next up was another presentation from Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) by Sheri Hole & Debra Carpenter. Basically, they were just introducing themselves to the commissioners. June Kramer spoke on the 2009-2010 CCC Grant agreement. Will receive in the ballpark of $862,000.00. John Cox was appointed to the board replacing Vickie Reed. Ordinance #2009-012 to establish a Non-reverting fund for Delaware County Emergency Management for money regarding the Sprint Nextell Rebanding project was approved. Then an ordinance regulation open burning was introduced. The Health Department made a presentation. Parking for county employees-Commissioner Dunnuck nothing was said on this. Have no idea what it is about. The rest was just montly report and approval of checks. That’s all folks. Next meeting Monday, May 18th at 9:00 AM To be placed on the agenda contact the commissioner’s office no later than 2:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the scheduled meeting.
